Originally from Cork, but now living in Paris Jessica O’Gara is a primary school teacher currently on a career break. Jessica is a keen horse rider who has experience in eventing and hunting and is looking forward to the challenge.
I have never sat on a racehorse until this year and have been getting lessons in Chantilly riding out weekly with Marine Henry. Over 2,500 racehorses are trained in Chantilly training centre and I am thoroughly enjoying the experience, as it is one of the most scenic training centres in Europe. I am also lucky enough to be training with the French Racing School AFASEC, where I have been using the mechanical racehorse simulator. I cannot wait challenge myself in participating in the Corinthian Challenge this year and to create awareness and raise funds for the Irish Injured Jockeys.
I'm inspired by the work of the Irish Injured Jockeys and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in The Corinthian Challenge. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Irish injured Jockeys, the greater their impact.Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
